Hello, my name is Sarah and I absolutely love to tutor. I earned my Associates Degrees in Liberal Studies, General Education and Social Science. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education from Sacramento State University. I enjoyed American Sign Language (ASL) so much, that after I was finished with the Foreign Language requirement, I decided to keep taking classes and made ASL my minor. I have a CBEST Certificate of Completion and I am also CPR and First Aid Certified.
Experience
I have 15 years of experience tutoring children and adults of all ages. My first job was working at Score! Educational Center as a tutor. Now I am 30 years old and I loved tutoring so much, that I have continued to tutor all these years while also working with children who have Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, various Learning Disabilities, as well as Typically Developing students. As much as I have loved teaching in a classroom, I really enjoy tutoring a wide variety of ages and subject areas. Even if there aren't specific assignments in place, I have an abundance of supplies. I am happy to plan and implement assignments, lessons, visuals and fun hands on activities.
