Have you seen your child when he/she is learning something new and they look up at you and in an excited way andsay, "I've got it!" That is why I teach. Those moments happen once for each tiny step that they take, and there isn't anything that can change that moment and their excitement when they get it. I am so glad you are looking for a tutor. I am currently a first grade teacher and have taught multiple grade levels (K, 1, 2, 3, and gifted education 4-6). I currently have my CLAD certificate and have been working with second language children for all 17 years of my career. I have also worked with children with special needs with different ranges of autism and other needs. I have received a certificate in Gifted Education. Those "I've got it" moments are precious! Then when your child gets stuck or is having a difficult time understanding something, we want to help we don't want them to struggle. I would love to work with your family and see those happy faces when they finally say,"I've got it!" **If you are searching for tutoring for current availability- I have week days between the times that I have listed below. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. I am a well organized person and will pack as much information into a one hour session as I can. I constantly review areas that your child may struggle in. I will always provide at the end of the lesson a written lesson plan of what we covered in each session. I provide all materials unless you have materials or if your child has homework; I am more than happy to do that also. I always do a 20 minute meet and greet so that we can meet and discuss your child going over report cards or other information that you feel is important prior to starting sessions. This is also a time for me to meet your child so that your child will know who I am prior to the session. The first session will not follow the meet and greet meeting. It will be on a different day. We do lots of hands-on activities and keep the activities concentrated and fun at the same time. I look forward to hearing from you and look forward to working with your family.
