I have 30 years of experience as a professional editor and writer of magazines, and I've been tutoring for the past six years at the college and high school levels. I'm a communications consultant, running my own business in the field. I've also spent the past 12 years teaching humanities, film analysis, critical thinking, and writing as an adjunct professor. I believe the best way for students to become better writers is to practice. I work alongside students to identify where their writing needs improvement, and then I put together exercises to help them hone those skills. I also provide encouragement and support along with recognition so that students see their own progress and develop confidence in their abilities.
