Recently attained a Master degree in Teaching at Universidad de Alcala in Madrid, Spain in 2015-16 (GPA 4.0). I graduated from CSU Monterey Bay (2014) with a BA in Spanish (emphasis in culture and literature), with a minor in Human Communication (GPA 3.5). TEFL Certified (teaching English as a foreign language).
Experience
I taught English at an elementary school in Spain through the CLIL method (content and language integrated learning) which means I taught regular subjects such as natural and social science, art and language arts to ESL students. I also gave private classes as well from students ages 6-60. Some students had special needs, and with my Master I am qualified, but have not yet worked one on one with special needs students. I currently teach English classes online to students in South Korea and China. I used to volunteer at an elementary school where I helped ESL students (4th-5th graders) with their English in speaking and reading. I also studied abroad in Spain (2012), where I volunteered at an Elementary school during the students' English class. This ultimately inspired me to become a teacher! Everything I have done so far has made me realize I truly enjoy helping others, and to me teaching is fulfilling and rewarding.
